Castration is the first step in controlling the stray dogs' population. After AFA's idea all stray dogs in Sofia have passports with pictures. They are kept by the people who take care on a daily basis for the dog's welfare.

Yet another successfully applied idea of AFA is the regular removal of parasites every three months as well as annual vaccination against rabies and these procedures are written in the passports of the castrated dogs. AFA controls these activities by organising "Flying squads" with medical staff in all different parts of Sofia. The "Flying squads" are a part of the AFA project named after "Robin's".
